Cote/Belcher, Daley/Koscheck Offer Intriguing Action at UFC 113

UFC 113 goes down May 8 from the Bell Centre, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The show will mark the UFC's third live event from Montreal. After the success of the last two, it appears Montreal will be a regular annual stop for the UFC for years to come.

Fans of UFC betting can expect some exciting action on this card. Of particular note, is the Patrick Cote vs. Alan Belcher fight. Many sports books have Belcher as a significant underdog, which savvy bettors should jump all over.

Belcher is a striker with a developing ground game, and he's fighting a man with bar-none, one of the finest beards in MMA. Belcher's only shot in this fight is that Cote will be suffering from ring rust. This bout will be Cote's first since being out close to two years following knee surgery.

Indeed, this could spell success for Belcher, but don't count on it. Belcher will not submit Cote - I doubt this fight will even go to the ground, and when we've seen Belcher engage in slugfests, we've seen his chin tested, however, he has likely not faced a striker with the power of Cote.

If one is so inclined, Patrick Cote is a very smart bet, providing you can find an attractive enough line, and share your humble author's sentiments.

Other intriguing action on the card includes Koscheck vs. Daley. While Kos is rightly the favorite in this fight, Daley has genuine "one-and-done" power in his hands, and we say Kos get flattened by Paulo Thiago last year.

Unless absolutely compelled to, fans of sports betting should stay away from the main event. It really is too close to call.
